Ugh, yes! I had it with my first child, and it is miserable! They call it PUPP (pruritic uricarial papules and plaques) and it really is one of the worst parts of pregnancy. Luckily, only about 1 in 100 women get it, and if you have it your first pregnancy, you're usually immune for any subsequent ones. Calamine helped sooth mine a little, but I'm not sure that it will work for everyone. The ONLY good thing about it, in my opinion, is that it can't hurt your baby.... which is a comfort when you're miserable.

Oh PUPPP, no freaking fun! I had it in my last pregnancy and now this time I have something similar but not sure its PUPPP just yet. Its miserable! Nothing helps.
A few quick facts:
It appears the male fetal DNA can be a major cause of PUPPP
PUPPP can develop AFTER birth in some cases, or even in the first trimester. Not JUST the third trimester.
While PUPPP is harmless to the baby there is another condition closely related that is linked with I believe Liver function and it can be dangerous, so always have your rash evaluated.
I saw a family practicioner today and this guy had NO CLUE what PUPPP even was, i gave HIM a medical lesson on it!!!
PUPPP sucks.. Bad! So sorry you had it hun

omg I had something like that although I didn't get an actual rash but I was so itchy I couldn't even sleep! I was just scratch and scratch and scratch and my whole body would then be red and it was so bad. My doctor gave me some medicine for it and it went away immediately after giving birth but it was so misearable!!
