If this is a keeper league, I'd pick up Jered Weaver, as he is undoubtedly one of the best pitching prospects we will see in the next few years. If it is just for this year, go with Lester because with the powerful Red Sox offense, he'll be in every game, and thus have a chance to win every game. Unlike the Angels, who aren't doing that well right now. There is no time table for Weaver to be called up right now. If he was sent down after winning his first three games, they really must not care about pitching him in the majors until next year. At the latest he'll get called up in September when they have 40-man rosters.

Jon Lester is heating up right now, so I would pick him up now while he still on the waiver wire, but watch for Jered Weaver because he might be call up again in the near future. If you have room for two, I say pick both of them up, but go for Lester now. Pick up Chad Billingsley if he's available, as he is also a solid option too.

Weaver. Once the Angels dump his brother, he'll be back from the minors and ready to take over. Lester pitches for the Red Sox. Not a pitcher's park and the Sox stink.

If you can waste a spot for awhile Weaver, but if you need to use a pitcher now, then Lester.

All would be afflicted by inconsistency of their rookie campaigns. Jared Weaver would be up interior the majors very quickly yet once you like production suited now, ward off Weaver or stash him on your bench. Lester is shaky at circumstances yet has super stuff and Shields could desire to be good if he wasn't a devil Ray. pass after Chad Billingsley, you will get a extreme ok quantity and a in all hazard sub 3.50 era.
