can make a home remedy if you haven't got any over the counter products. This remedy is used by the aid workers in poor countries. Make rice but use twice the amount of water needed. Drain off the excess water, add a little salt and a little sugar the the rice water and cool it. You can take a couple of tablespoons every hour till it gets under control. The sugar and salt are to help balance your electrolytes. Hope this works for you.

Drink a lot of water, because your body is getting very dehydrated. I got the flu once and had the same problem. Before it was done, I was so severely dehydrated that the paramedics had to come and take me to get an IV at the hospital. A pro-biotic should be purchased too to get the normal flora bacteria back in your stomach. Just go buy the strongest acidopholus you can find at the health food store. Find very pure yogurt if that is easier. That contains a reasonable amount of acidopholus.

Good luck.

Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids, at least a few ounces an hour. Like the others said, you can take Pepto or Imodium, follow the bottles directions. If it lasts more than 24-48 hours, go to the doctor, you may need IV fluids and prescription medications.
Get lots of rest. wash your hands alot to avoid spreading the germs, that way when your better you wont pick them up again.

Good Luck, hope you feel better

Two tablespoons pepto bismol every 1/2-1 hour. Take no more than 8 doses in a 24 hour period. Do not drink milk. Drink only water and gatorade. Try to get some rest as well. Do not exercise or perform any strenuous activity that could result in fluid loss.

This will help to stop your diarhea and firm your stool. Also stay away from things that have a lot of fiber in them.

If you are running a fever, it is probably a flu. Drink lots of fluids. If you think it is the flu, do not take medication to stop the diarrhea. Let the bug run its course.

If not the flu, you may be lactose intolerant. If so try avoiding dairy for a few days and see if it gets better.

If you have blood in your stools, see a doctor.
