Heavy Metal often has influence from classical or folk music. At least the kind I listen to does. I'm into neoclassical, symphonic, black and folk metal.
I never listen to hip hop because there's absolutely no musical skill

U c mainly "rock" iz okay but especially "punk" suckz....let me ask u 1 question....what iz the use of shouting and yelling(i can't read the lyrics if they keep on shouting).Where as hiphop it iz quite great and a new genre aswell i know that most of the rap songs contains explict lyrics and violence but atleast listen 2 the sound of music and rythm which iz great nodoubt. There can be a rap song which iz full of swearing but the rythm iz marvelous.Itz all 'bout opinions after all and i told u mine which iz:I prefer hiphop than heavymetal.....

heavy metal...don't like it much...but I would rather listen to anything other than hip-hop...I don't find any meaning to that music...all it has is absolute nonsense and a whole bunch of words that rhyme.
