if the u.s. is building a wall on the Mexican boarder why is the teacher teaching Spanish to the students?

spanish teaching in schools, you must be trying to make a joke.. you know how important learning another language is? if you expect everyone to speak yours you'll limit yoursef to those countries that speak that language.. try to open your mind a little bit, and realize that there is more in this world than the US

First of all, are you trying to make a joke? US doesnt have borders along the south let alone walls. We have the worst security in the world. I can basicly cross the mexican border at will without even being harrassed. And Secondly, teacher teach spanish in school because it's part of the educational system to have foreign language as a subject. Why dont you complained about teaching Japanese/chinese, vietnamese, french, and other language in school. Spanish is the largest speaking language in the world. Second is english believe it or not. It's good to know Spanish so we can talk to those illegal aliens and tell them to go back home since they dont understand us speaking to them in english.
