Pool games are great if the parents will let him swim with you! I never tired of treasure hunting for things on the bottom of the pool! Can you go on a walk around the neighborhood I am sure the dogs would love that! As far as crafts etc, go online and find stuff together that sounds good. You can do allot with just a little if you are creative. Start on some Christmas gifts, do a summer scrapbook. Their are tons of ideas out there, you just have to put some work into finding what both of you will enjoy!

Buy cheap T-shirts and turn them into other things. Get a classic paint by numbers set - they are GREAT! Learn how to buy a stock of something the kid loves, like McDonald's for instance.
Learn a graphics program on the computer. Or do the speed typing course. Copy pages from the dictionary. Make your own play-dough and sell it to littler kids. Figure out how to fix a leaky faucet. Learn to play guitar. Learn all the flags in the world and write a letter to someone in each country! Grow radishes or tomatoes. Learn to cook and bake. Learn to sew, quilt, crochet, tat, or knit. Get all the holiday shopping done now. Write a letter to yourself to open in ten years. Talk about what you like now and what you are dreaming of. Organize all the music you have. Volunteer to help at a Day camp, Nursery School, Old Age home, hospital. If you can read, you can help. And I could go on and on.
