Leave them alone...I don't understand the question. IF this is the old, "Idolatry" crap that has circulated for centuries, you are way off base, and whoever is teaching you this stuff is so far out of touch with reality, you should step back and take a serious look at your teacher! Catholic churches have statues here and there to remind the flock of God and his followers, Saints, etc. These statues are NOT prayed to, but there only to help with the imagery while praying. I am not a Catholic, but at least I do know that much about their faith. IF you are going to attack another faith, I suggest you know something about that faith first. This question makes you sound a bit ignorant around the edges.

I would say you got to be specifice in the first place, like what statue is bothering you. Secondly, it is just a photo language -- when one looks at the photo one recalls the person -- people with faith pray through these statues and are satisfied. Statues are kept to keep the spirituality of people intact.

If it was up to me, I would do away with all of It and just believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the the cross for me. He died for my sins, He was buried and took my sins away and He rose again the third day for my justification. He did it all for me and all I had to do was to believe and that is great. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

No, why would we remove the statues? They are just honoring the individual they represent.

It's not the codicils or statutes that is the problem, but how individuals choose to interpret them.
