What do I do I hate my father in law he is such a jerk. I hate him so so much! he thinks it is the womans job to cook and clean and do the dishes all the house work.
Somedays I just want to tell him to go **** himself and all the things I don't like about him is this a good idea.

No. Ignore him and everything he says BUT, MAKE SURE your husband doesn't feel the same way. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree so I am wondering if there are any traits of his that you see in your husband. If so, it might be time to re-think the whole thing.
your FIL is just totally ignorant. don't let it get under your skin or he's winning. When he makes stupid comments like that, say, Yeah, you're right.......

The best thing to do is tell your husband about it..does your husband feel the same way his father does..Never want to tell your father in law anything..talk to your husband that is the best thing to do..so you and your husband don't end up fighting..

keeping peace is definitely the best idea when it comes to the in-laws. what you do in your home is your business, not his. if you want to do the old fashioned wife thing, than you can, but its not his business if you do or not. a confrontation with him may only create tension btwn you and your husband. believe me, i used to have blow out arguments with the mother in law, that was just hell on more than 1 level

Just do it at your own pace and don't listen to a word he says. That should drive him up the wall. Ignore him and don't show him so much respect.

yea im in the same situation but its step mother or w.e she is to me she takes all my dads money and god knos wat she does with it and idk to me i just dont listen to her or w,e she says she always telling me i need to lose weight when in 110 pounds at 24 and u kno wat when i want to see my dad i call him over my house or we go out...i wouldnt say anything to him if i was you cause it could cause family problems to whos ever dad it is...i would just not let him bother you! he is just a jerk and i would tell the women to stick up for himself!!
