So, we have God the father, God the son and God the holy ghost. All the 1 person right? Now mary was made pregnant by the holy ghost ( the father and the son) and she gave birth to the son ( the father and the ghost). So, Jesus was his own father and Mary was knocked up by her unborn son? Have I got that right? Must be fun at Xmas dinner at their house.

I think you have that right -- unless you are Mormon. They believe that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are three separate beings. It still doesn't answer why God the Father is not the father.

I'm shocked that you got no reasonable answers n the Religion section.

Ha that's a good one, I like it. Don't trip I am a catholic I don't take a lot of things seriously. I know it sounds crazy about the Jesus and the holy ghost being one, that is because God is the father, and god is the father of Jesus Christ, they are both in the form of the spirit so they are one, sounds confusing, but after awhile it makes sense. It is called the holy trinity, but jesus did not knock up mary, the holy spirit did.

Okay, God, Jesus, and the Holy spirit make up the holy trinity. Yes there are all connected however Jesus is not his own father and Mary was not "knocked up" by her unborn son. I am sorry to burst your bubble.

*** I love it! *** May I use your illustration with my students?

The answer is quite simple, and spelled out very clearly in the Bible:

Jehovah God is the Almighty FATHER and Creator of all things. (See Psalm 83:18.)

Jesus Christ is Jehovah's firstborn Son. He is not equal to his father; he is the SON. (See Colossians 1:15-17 and Proverbs 8: 22-31.)

The Holy Spirit (or Ghost) is not a person, but is God's active force, the means by which he accomplishes things in relationship to the earth.

The trinity concept is a pagan doctrine and is not taught in the Bible.

To get a reasonable anwer, you must ask a reasonable question. To Christian believers, your question comes across as an attack, and when attacked, people do funny things. If you want a serious answer, try rephrasing your question into non-offensive terms and try researching it a little bit before putting it out there.

no.....see the way you described it proves that it must be false. that theres the holy spirit, used by God to assist the son while he was on earth. if they were all the same person, it would make no sense.

With that reasoning you are correct. However, the story is not true to begin with so it is a moot point.
