Are you SERIOUS?
1. Having a baby will not bring two people (who were not already close) closer. It will make you farther apart if anything because all your attention will be going to the new baby instead of the sig other.
2. To boost your income? Come on now. Unless you are on welfare or something a baby only lowers your income. ha.
3. To get up in the morning, set an alarm. Set..three alarms if need be come on now. Get a puppy. My puppy woke me up in the morning for the first 8 months of her life, and still sometimes does :).
4. How's that working for your "mate".
5. Babies don't save marriages in need of saving. See a therapist.
6. You shouldnt do anything to please somebody else if you aren't happy on your own.
And your other answers I have no idea what you are saying. Have a baby with your sig other because you love each other. You already do. You dont want to hopefully get closer by having one.. or you defn don't wanna trap anybody. Trust me tthat does not work. you are only going to cause resentment. :)
I hope you werent' serious in asking that question.. Come on now!

because you want one, because you want to love something that loves you back unconditionally, because you will be a good father, because you can provide for them and give them all the things you didn't have.
Never ever have a child just to save a marriage. It doesn't work. An alarm clock with wake you in the morning. Having a baby never boost income, sure tax stuff but look at all you buy for them. There is no boost in income. You are the only one that should decide to have a child(well you and that other person), not your mom, dad, or even your brother.

none of them because --
1) most people make the mistake of thinking a baby will bring you closer together, for a small hand full it might but all the sleepless nights etc actually cause more arguments
2)if having kids boosted your income i would have ten, but the truth is it does the exact opposite
3)you dont need a baby to get you up, buy an alarm clock for god sake
4)if your mate had a boil on his/her **** would you want one of those to? i think not
5)if your relationship is already failing there is not a lot can be done but a baby is the last thing you should be thinking about, not everybody is as lucky as the beckhams
6) most men shouldn't be allowed to father a child they can hardly look after themselves
7) having a child should not be about pleasing other people
8) and it shouldn't be about trapping someone either

I think the only reason to have a baby is because you are in love with your S/O and you want to create a new life with that person. It may bring you closer together in some ways, but will take you further apart in others... It probably won't boost your income, babies/kids are EXPENSIVE!!!, I have two kids and still HATE to get up in the morning, I do it, but am not always happy... I could address them all, but don't want to write a novel!

None of them. If you intentionally want to have a baby, then do it in a stable marriage where you both want a child. Not for child support or income tax, but just because you want a baby that is part of you both. A baby should never be for someone that isn't the parent of the kid or a try to keep the relationship together.

None of those are good reasons. A good reason to have a baby is because you and your significant other love each other very much and you want to start a family. The above reasons are immature reasons. I was able to at least tell my kids as they grew up that the reason they are here is because they were conceived in love. I think they appreciated that and it was the truth. I don't understand the "boost your income" because having a baby does quite the opposite.

I don't think any of the reasons are valid for having a baby. I had a baby because I was pregnant ...lol Once I found out I was pregnant that was it. I would NEVER give a child of mine away or murder it. I was on birth control with both my kids and once I was pregnant, I just was. However, I do plan on having more children in the future. I came from a big family and I would like my kids to have that closeness

I agree that there are not too many good reasons in your list. You have a baby because you want to, and because you have the love and support to give to that baby. If you have a baby for any of the "bad" reasons, like to save a marriage, or a better tax return, the only person that will suffer is the child, and that is not fair to them. They deserve a chance at a good life.

None of the above... A baby does the opposite. Push you apart with the stress and love life going down the pan, you can't hang out with your mates and life is screwed up and no money
You won't get up in the morning as it kept you up all night.
Income... goes down the pan due to baby costs and childcare so any money comming in goes out leaving you with less.
Mate has one so having seen it total their social life why would you want one?
Save a marriage? see the above.
screw your mum, you life not hers.
Entrap an MP ... emmn and have an unfortunate accident before you blab... Often car accidents.
Fatherland? er why?

They are all bad reasons. People do it for those reasons and it never works out. the only good reason to have a baby is that you love kids and you want to make your family grow. And who in the world thinks having a baby would boost your income? lol it costs a lot to raise a baby.
