and i'm glad they picked somebody who looks a lot like him to play in the new one, kate bosworth isn't a good lois lane i heard, the reviews say she's not sassy like margot kidder and terri hatcher played her as

I believe that Christopher Reeve was the best Superman because he made us believe that a man could fly, overcome crime and live a normal life.
Like I said he made us believe.

It's hard to compare them.
Since each time Superman has been portrayed, it has been in different decades, I think they picked the best for their time, and no one has seen Brandon Routh's performance yet.
Out of the ones I have seen (George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain) I'm partial to Cain. I just think they did more for the romance of Lois and Clark in the television show than they covered in the movies with Christopher Reeve.
I don't count Tom Welling as Superman, because technically, he plays Clark Kent as a young man. He hasn't developed into Superman yet.

Christopher Reeve is the only Superman I've ever known. Being 27, I didn't know about the old black and white Superman. And Dean Cain? I don't think so. Christopher Reeve will always be Superman, IMO

No coluld ever replace Chrisopher Reeve. He was the best Superman in history. Tom Welling plays the character very well. I am not saying this simply because I like him but because he has this presence on screen. Just like Christopher Reeve did. You want to watch the show beacause of him. He brings the character to life.

Kirk Alyn, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve (no s at the end) and Dean Cain are among the ones who've played Supie. I haven't seen the new film yet, but so far my favorite is Chris Reeve. He owned the role.

Should have kept Mr Welling For the new film! He looks a bit like Reeve did... you know the same gormless look!
