What can i do to help her i don't want to get in this but if someone dose'nt step in someone is going die,went i say that i mean that he litterally beat her bad with a stainlesssteal garbage can,he left alot of bruises on her she caled the police but that told her that,that's her husband and it's the law to stay out of it.I don't think that it is right to let someone beat you and nothings being done about it.Now her and the kids are here they have three kids together.Can someone give me some truthful advise???

She has been staying here with me,but the only thing is he know where i stay i'm scared because i have kids also,my kids never experianced nothing like this.She called the police already they act as if they don't want to help.

I was thrown downstairs at 6 months pregnant,punched,beaten,threatened with acid on my face,etc,etc.I got a restraining order and injunction.I went into a womens refuge(safe house),I was there 6 months and they gave me new accommodation,help with furnishing it.She has to leave this asshole.Her kids must come first.priority.It doesnt matter if you lose material possessions,its better to live a safe and happy life.I moved over 200 miles away.best move I ever made.She has to leave him completely and never go back.If he says he is sorry I wont do it again,that is rubbish.A leopard never changes his spots.I went back to my ex 30 times.Until one day my mum asked me what type of coffin I wanted.Then it clicked in my brain.Time to go and have a new life.That was 10 years ago.

Try and remember the officer's name and the badge numbers ....if you didn't get it call the police station and ask for a copy of the report. Then call the local domestic crisis center and tell them what you are being told.
Now, I have worked in a crisis center and it sounds to me as if your sister is too scared to press charges. If that is the case, the police should still be able to arrest him...........without her doing anything because it has happened on numerous occassions. Then the state or city takes over. This depends on where you live so I would look into it.
You all have the right to be protected: womens resource centers, ywcas, and domestic crisis centers will be of great help.
I will pray for you and for him to become less violent.

They lied. If the police are called for a domestic dispute then they have to take someone to jail and if the wife has been beaten then it should be the husband. They were also supposed to call for medical help. You have to ask her if she truly wants help because some women keep going back. If she really wants to get away then you should locate a women's shelter to get her help. If they can't help then there is a national number you can call and they should be able to help you. Be prepare for a long battle with the husband because most batterers don't want to let go of their spouses. Good luck to your sister.

If she called the police and they are not going to help her she needs to move away from him and the family for a while. There are lots of safe house that will help.
I don't know what country you are living in but there has to be an organization that will help women and child leave the man that is beating them.
Help her and the kids out, she really needs your support.

what the heck state do you live in? That is assault and it IS illegel even if it IS her husband. She must file for a restraining order. Call the courthouse for information.Take photos of the bruises. She must not be in contact with him AT ALL. Get the name of the cop who would not help. Keep it in case you need it or something horrible happens. she may be able to sue him afterward, but that is not the important thing at this moment.

First of all if you sister called the police and told them she wanted to press charges, it is the law that they must take him in. The best thing to do is remove her from the home and not let her go back. However, sadly, many woman don't want to leave or press charges. In the end it has to be her (your sister's) choice to leave. All you really can do in that case is be there for her when she is ready.

She needs to press charges against him and leave with the kids immediately. She can file a restraining order and get a temporary one for emergency to keep him away until the court date. If she doesn't have a place to stay there are all kinds of battered womens shelters she can go to.

u have to be kidding me the cops said thats the law hell no what statedo u live in thats a law suit if they really said that its against the law for anyone to beat u call the domestic violence hotline now they will help look it up for your state go to the yellowpages or call information ucan look it up on line google it hes going to go to jail he beat her with a garbage can he could of killed her take pictures now of her body and keep them in a safe place call NOW

what you can do is tell her how you feel about what her husband is doing to her and also comfort her by making her happy while her husband is around. Also you may want to keep there kids out of this! KIds hate it when this stuff happins to there parents! But try to get your sister to tell him to stop! You are her sister, you have a right to pretect her, also you probly know her more than she knows her husband!!
