How old is he going to be? How about an outfit or a gift card to his favorite store? If you two are serious. Then a romantic dinner and movie just the two of you. Or you cook dinner and have a movie waiting w/ some candles and maybe a little dancing. Good luck!

A short (or long if you both can) vacation all planned by you is always a great gift. It's romantic, exciting, kind of spontaneous, and shows him that you really thought it through. Even if you just plan going away for the weekend together, and maybe write it in a card or something, I'm sure he will love it.

What is he into? My boyfriend Loves NASCAR. So for his b/day I am buying him tickets to a NASCAR race. If he's into cars maybe see if there is an auto show in the area or some kind of auto museum. Sports fan try tickets, clothing or any other kind of accessories. Be creative with what u know about him. He'll love what u do no matter what. You thought of him and put forth a lot of effort.
