I take birthcontrol everday at the same time never miss it or anything. and for some reason this month my period came early! like 1 week early...didn't miss any pills! Its not heavy at all, very light ...I can only wear light tampon. and my stomach hurts right now. what is the deal? I didn't even think about being pregnant until today and I've been taking my birthcontrol still and I take other meds too...i hope if I am it didn't hurt the baby!

see the only reason I do think i could be, is b/c my mom got pregnant with me when she was on birthcontrol and she had her period with all 4 kids. so..... i don't know about it. I guess I should go to the doctor. I have been taking these meds for over 6 months now, nothing has ever made my period wack out like this. and I'm not on any antibiotics. soo.....

Maybe it is just 'breakthrough bleeding' - that can happen with birth control pills (I know because I took them). Breakthrough bleeding is normal and is just a result of a hormonal fluctuation. It doesn't mean you're pregnant. Since you have been taking the pills diligently and not missed a dosage for 6 months, I think you have a pretty slim chance of getting pregnant. I got pregnant while on the Pill but only because I missed a dosage or two and didn't use an alternative protection (it was okay though because though my hubby and I didn't plan to have a baby, we were excited nonetheless to have one). I didn't find out not until I was six weeks along, and I was still taking the Pill all the while - it didn't harm my baby (and of course I stopped using the Pill as soon as I found out I was pregnant).
So take a home pregnancy test to find out whether you are indeed pregnant or not. I'm betting that you are not. But for your peace of mind, take the test. Also, if you continue to have problems with your hormones and your birth control, tell your doctor so he/she can find out what's going on. Maybe switching to a different brand or strength (there are some pills that have lower hormonal dosages and are still effective) will help eliminate the problems you're having.
Good luck!!

There is a chance you could be pregnant because it is not uncommon for you to have your period and be pregnant. Also if your taking other meds and bc they can couteract each other. With my second child, my period was crazy and i was on bc I went to the doctor and he told me that the diet pills i was taking had a couter effect. I had a healthy baby girl and now I am pregnant with #5. Everybody is different, just go to the doctor. Good Luck !!!

well I would say no because if you were prego you wouldn't have bleeding. It depends on the other meds...they could be causing the early period. But if your on an antibotic they do cancel out b/c pills so then you could be.
Read the labels on the other meds and see if any of them say anything about it interfering w/ b/c or you can even call the pharmacy...they are there to help with ques like this before you run of to the Dr.

I would go to the doctor. Something is definitely going on. Just to let you know---not to scare you---but I got pregnant with my first on the pill and took it like I was supposed to every day didn't miss one. But it really is not the common.
Pregnant or not something weird is going on and it is best if you get seen!
Good luck!

You need to go see your Dr. I personally don't trust birth control pills because I got pregnant with my first on the pill. Not to scare you or anything, but yeah, if I were you, make an appt with your Dr or gynecologist.

First of all this quite normal it's called a breakthrough period it happens periodically when you take oral contraception. It's not that easy to get pregnant while on birth control especiall if you've taken it as religiously as you say you have. Fear not if you want to be sure take to your Gyn she/he will ease your worry!!!
