find someone who wants them in their garden, or put a sign up asking if someone wants them, I'd dig them up if you were in SW Wales as so good in salad etc, What you pay in the shop these days for anything good is outrageous, £1 plus for a few sprigs of parsley, etc when I have tons! alas no wild onions/garlic...

That is a toughy. The only way to really get rid of them is to dig up the plant, and I mean ALL the plant. Pulling them up only leaves the babies which will return. Wild onions are bulbs, so the babies will stay in the ground if they are not dug up.
Told you it was a toughy.

Dig them up could look the least confusing answer! Then cover the section with a thick plastic cover to kill off any new flora. flow away it there for some months till you're particular you have controlled to get all of them...the bulbs ought to rot out interior the soil. Repeat over the backyard till you're sparkling. Plastic, warmth, no water, no photograph voltaic kills maximum issues!!!

Kitchen vinegar. Pour it directly on them at the base of the plant. Viengar will kill everything, so be careful not to get it on grass or any plants that you don't want to kill. Good luck!
