Does anyone know who Sesshoumaru's mother is and/or what kind of demon is was.
I know about Inuyasha's mother but know nothing about Sesshoumaru's.

inuyasha's mother is human and sesshomaru's mother is full demon, they are half brothers people

Sesshoumaru's mother is/was never mentioned. She's not a part of the main plot(or any of the main characters' lives). Inuyasha's mother was mentioned only because they needed to show how and why inuyasha has mercy and feelings for humans.
Sesshoumaru's mother isn't ever mentioned. I have the thrid movie and though you met(see) a younger Sesshoumaru, and his father(they're identical!), his mother is never mentioned or seen.
Most likely, she won't ever be brought up.

Truthfully not a lot is known about Sesshoumaru's mom or past. Rumiko didnt even name their father. As for her type she must an Inu (dog) demon because he is 100 % dog demon. The crescent moon on his forehead comes from his mom as well as the smooth stripes on his cheek. Only a hardcore Sesshoumaru fan can truly know.
(edit) I think Niiro (below) is right - she does not appear on the plot

Sesshoumaru is talked about on the show as full-blooded dog demon so while nothing is shown about his mother it is only right that his mother is a dog demon as well

no one knows the answer.she has never been mentioned in the Anime or Manga or Movies.but you can take a looks at this,they discuss the same question too!

inuyasha and sesshomarus mother was a human not a demon tats why inuyasha is half demon cause his dad i demon and his mom is human. their mothers name isizioi.(dont know how to spell it)but yea.shes a human
