Terry. Starts with a T, like teath and sharks tear apart their food.
Sammy the Shark sounds catchy, but it might be too simple. I could see him with sunglasses (Shades the shark?) and acting like Sammy Davis Junior.
Then again, playing off size might be funny - if he's your largest character, Junior might work.

well if it is a boy shark how about Melvin or Norman. i think both of these names sound funny(sorry to any melvins and normans out there) i cant say the name Norman without it sounding like off the honeymooners, ie., Nooooooyyyyman. anyway if it is a girl, Gertrude, or Gertie just cracks me up.
