That was the first video ever played on MTV (yes I was there:). I think that music videos did take a large percentage of listeners from radio. So yes video did kill a radio star or two.

Yes, and here's how it happened. Video was a pal of a gang of shadow ninjas, and got tired of the radio star's crap. So video asked the ninjas to take care of the radio star. Poof - Radio Star dead, Video put the plan in motion, so video indeed killed the radio star. It sounds like Video might be after you as well, I hope you make it out ok!

It did if your name was Christopher Cross. He had the voice of an angel, but the body of John Candy. MTV had hard time with the wide angle lenses in his videos.

I guess he did get lost somewhere between the moon and New York City.

Yep, because now the less attractive artists who can actually sing are pushed to the background.
I guess you just have to find the right station. People have really bad taste in music these days.

Yes becuase some videos do suck real bad and becuase of that, some people just dont like them anymore OR they find out theyre ugly.

I don't know? They let Genesis have videos! And Peninsula head (phil collins) made it pretty big! And sorry but he is as homely as one gets!
