Education will go a long way towards battling injustice in the world, but it must be unbiased, scientifically accurate, and presented in a way that makes the student curious to learn more. Schools that only teach one aspect of a subject that may reflect a bias or particular point of view can go along way toward creating prejudices rather than ameliorating them. In today's modern world, the best source of wide reaching education may be the World Wide Web. However, one must recognize that whatever organization or whomever places information available on the I'Net may have a particular agenda. The ability to study all sides of an issue must be paramount.

The bottom line is that it is not the job of a Teacher to Give you an Education, it is the Student's job to GET an Education. The Teacher must create an environment where Getting an Education is possible.

Of course. Education will help people to feel more confident about themselves. This will help them get and keep jobs, reducing crime and poverty. They will also be less likely to roll over when someone is offending their liberties. I feel very strongly that education is always a good answer to any problem. Learning should never end. However, it takes a good deal of money too. Much of which nobody wants to give...It may not help the whole world but it will definitely help each community.

Nope. Education is one thing, transferring it from head knowledge to common practice is another. Why do you think people tend to say so many well-meaning things, but actually get around to achieving little to none of them?
