The more money we the U.S. waste in an unwinnable war the less resources we have to protect ourselves from another terrorist attack,just the way Al-Qaida would have it.How is it that the Republicans are too stupid to miss this point?

"Less resources we have to protect ourselves from another terrorist attack"? Duh, we've had so many since then haven't we? Actually, I know some folks in that endeavor and we have stopped numerous things. We are barred from being too much more aggressive because in searching for those little roaches hiding among us we are perceived as too intrusive into our privacy as it is. We can't open all the shipping containers coming in because there simply are too many, so we watch the communications to see if odd folks are expecting odd packages, "What does an apartment dweller in a Canadian town want with three tons of fertilizer?" Why would a container from Saudi Arabia be coming for some guy who works in a donut shop in Newark?
We are doing this AND doing that. There are people saying the war is unwinnable, but then there were people saying the Miami Heat couldn't possible win either. Besides, it wasn't just a Republican war, the Democrats voted on it too. Even John Kerry admitted to voting for it "before I voted against it." Sorry, if I was so obscure that you missed my point.

Zarqawi was already in Iraq training his Al Qaeda buddies. Maybe we should have just let all this slide, ya' know? Like Bill Clinton always did with Bin Laden. We should have allowed Saddam continue to hide HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of lethal munitions, continue to deceive the world and erode sanctions while he seeked to rebuild his nuke capabilities.
Do you have any knowledge of history and all the countries we have helped to overcome tyrannical dictators? To obtain peace, you must prepare for war? Ever heard of that?
Why do you think that having our troops in Iraq would keep us from preventing terrorist attacks by Al Qaeda? Do you realize that it's not our troops that foil the attacks on our homeland? It's intelligence, yes, such as monitoring the terrorists' internet use, phone records, etc. Oh yeah, you libs are against that too.. I hate the fact that my tax dollars (I pay a lot) are going to a build the infrastructure of country I care nothing about. Actually with the ballooning deficit, it will be my children who will pay for it.
