Yes, it is normal, that is the usual lenght of time blood comes out. And it's fine if you have a really heavy flow it evens out later on with time. Every period has it's own pattern so don't stress yourself out so much. If you want more info check with your doctor do not be embarassed they know more about this than anyone else in the world. Also don't be afraid to speak with an aunt or a femal cousin or your mom about it usually girls need support from a feminie figure to help them through the confusion.
Just some facts about your period:
go to yahoohealth and research menstration cycle as well as puberty.

Yes it is perfectly normal. Seven days is definitely normal, and I suspect the 10 days is just because you are young and your hormones haven't regulated yet. When you are older, you should find that your periods become pretty regular, both in length and in cycle. As far as the flow, I still have really heavy days at the beginning, and cramps on the first day. Everyone is a little different.
Good luck to you!

Yes, when I was your age it lasted 7 days. You are just beginning and it is good that you asked that. Mine was really heavy and back then, New Freedom Maxi's were the popular brand and it soaked up my heavy flow.
It will lighten up when you get older.

Yeah it's normal, it was like that for me when I was 12, but the days decreased to 4-5 days as I grew older.
