I've done them for others. I can't remember a time someone's done them for me.
I used to have a lightworker group called Circle of Light and we had Human Angel projects where we did random acts of kindness every month. Pay people's tolls or admissions, for instance, or give away a winning raffle ticket at a show.

I drove to some mans house 20 minutes away and returned his wallet dropped in a wal mart parking lot.. he gave me 50 bucks :)
there was more than 400 in it..
I was walking in boston during a thunderstorm and a cab driver stopped to pick me up in the pouring rainand dropped me off at the train station free of charge.
christmas last year I was visiting relatives waaay out of town and was buying groceries for dinner.. a lady behind me in line swiped her savings card through at the checkout and saved me $40 .. told me to have a good christmas :) .. and I did..
was in boot camp at the army and the guy beside me at the firing range was having a hard time qualifying with his rifle.. I wasted 5 of my shots to hit his target.. he passed the course by 2 shots..
good people do exist in the world.. I try to be one of them.. it is a combination of karma and the golden rule.. do random good things for good people and good things will be in your future. Or at least give strangers the benefit of doubt on everything.. until they abuse the privilege.. and it works :)

Although I do not believe I have been the recipient of a random act of kindness (sometimes you wouldnt know)
I have doled them out on many occasions.
I have put money into parking metors. (person may never know if it was just leftover time when they pulled in)
I have left money in laundry mat washers and dryers.
I have paid the toll on a toll road for the person behind me.
(this they would definately know)
Its not about if we have received one, but if we give them without worry or concern that the person know about it.
For me its enjoyable just to do it,

It's not a big one, but my favorite people are the people who will let you cut in the supermarket line because you've only got one or two items, and they're doing their week's shopping. I always try to do this when I get a chance.

A lady at my church last Sunday gave me a basket full of new work clothes. My girlfriend has given me all of her daughter's old clothes for my daughter.

My law professor gave me $60 a few months ago, for groceries. He didn't have to do it, he was just being nice.
