If I had to guess, I'd say there's nothing about a Mento that would give you trouble screwing the lid back on, except perhaps the fact that the dimensions of a Mento are not conducive to passing through the opening in the bottle.

From what I saw on TV, no. My boss and I were talking about this, though, and it seems there should be a way to place the mentos in a container or light plastic that would insulate the reactants. You would need a way to deactivate the insulator/activate the bomb. Be careful if you try this though, because it would likely explode and could hurt you.

not all the way. but whats better is putting a little bit of liquid nitrogen an empty bottle and putting the cap on. THAT THING EXPLODES SO AWESOME.
