Anywhere between NONE and all that you can afford..how favorite are they? What other obligations do you have? I'd say 50%...I'm sure there are things you can do without and still places that you can save in your monthly budget on things for you (and others in your family, if applicable).

10% is considered a base amount for most religions.
5% is advocated by many charitable organizations.
These are both good guidelines. If you are particularly involved with a charity or organization, your donations of both time and money will likely be more.
You do need to factor in, of course, your income and basic living expenses. You may be able to afford more, and prefer to support charitible organizations over other superflous items.

Depends on what you feel COMFORTABLE donating. It's simple, I give what I can IF I believe in the cause. I can't stand 'recommended donations' In fact I have a tendencey to NOT donate to those charities. If I can spare it, I will, but if I can't then that's the way it is. High pressure carities NEVER get my money, regardless.

I provide a tithing which is 10%, to my faith. It is reasonable. I also provide a fast offering which provides food for those who can not afford to buy food and receive their food through their church.
