im not racist. i dont have a problem with people that are black, asian, or any other race. i have friends that are black. theirs nothing wrong with that.

I dont know. I think some people are just ignorant and try not to know more than what they do. My mom always told me to "Ignore Ignorance.' YOu should do the same.

I always wondered why being of any race is an excuse for xenophobia...
xenophobia, bigotry, racism, lack of education, ignorance and social negligence are 6 ways of describing the greatest weakness of the United States.
My wife is a dark Brazilian and my son is white as I am. There is NO wrong done in having children with different cultures. As white as I am...I am part Italian, Irish, Welsh, Danish, Norweigan, English, German etc...
what difference does it make if my son has a few more cultures blended in? Our cultures are so mixed in already...a few more never hurts.

Because races are different, both socially and genetically, so there is a natural tendency to stick with similar people, and that creates a dislike of other people. Also, in the case of blacks, if the black in the inner city were more civilized and didn't shoot people, they might garner more respect.

Some people just are what they are, despite all education and evidence. We will never be able to convince everyone that racism is wrong.
Fortunately, the number of real racists is very, very small.

Because they are ignorant and afraid. It is easier to hate someone than take the time to get to know them and see that they are human too. Hate is easy, love takes courage. There is only ONE race, the HUMAN race.

Because some people will always see color first. No matter what color they are themselves.
My Grandfather and father were racist and I am not. I don't see color and my kids are taught the same.
I wish all people would teach their kids that color of the skin doesn't matter!
