I was an English major, and a theater fanatic, and I might be able to help. Try me.

It's because they have been burned in the past by people who post homework questions here, scoop up the answer, and then never thank anyone by picking a "best answer." That's how this system is supposed to work.
Also, don't you think 80 questions are a lot to ask for help with? Perhaps if you narrowed it down to one or two, and did the rest of the work yourself, people would be inclined to help you.
Good spelling and grammar ("appreciate," for example) go a long way in showing that you really need help and are not just goofing off.

Simply because no one can do the growing for you.
You as an individual need to grow and develop the skills and techiques as well as reading and writing abilities. No one is out in the world to always help you; sometimes you need to figure it out and have some more confidence. Stop saying that you can't do it and start saying that you can do it.
If you truly need help in literature, talk to yourself about your questions. Try answering your own questions and resolving them by yourself. You need to read between the lines and discover the significance of the literary work. You also need to read more and read literary criticism on the article as well as develop your own personal approach and idea to the work of literature. Not one idea towards literature is wrong; it is simply different. It is, afterall, perspectives, that make the literary community so unique.

Literature answers often require lots of text, which most people don't want to put the effort into.
Often people ask questions that would be answered by a very quick google search, they just don't want to put out any effort AT ALL.
And asking for help and asking for the answer are completely different things as the previous answerer said.

The help you need isn't necessarily the answer to specific questions. I assume you may benefit more from getting help on HOW to search for your answers.
I wish more teachers would encourage group work. After all, the real world is about helping people achieve and learning in the process. Ask a smart kid at school (not the answers to the questions), but how he does it.

According to me, asking questions will enhace your knowledge much further. U must never be afraid to ask questions : at least, I'm always open for your questions and am quite willing to answer them as long as they are innocent enough, like in case of studies or anything like that.

Maybe if you said, I need help and explain, but say don't answer the question, just point me in the right direction, I am sure then people will help.
We should not be doing your homework, but I am sure most of us are willing to help you learn so that you can do it.
