Tens of thousands of homes have been destroyed. Fallujah, a city of 300,000 people had 36,000 of its 50,000 homes destroyed by the US military. Half of the city's former population are displaced persons living in tents. Thousands of Iraqis have been detained in prisons and hundreds have been brutally tortured. America's reputation in the Muslim world is ruined. The Bush regime expected a short "cakewalk" war to be followed by the imposition of a puppet government and permanent US military bases. Instead, US military forces are confronted with Mujahideen that live on fire and has denied control over Iraq to the US military. Chaos rules, and civil war are what the Americans are palnnig.

He THOUGHT he had better reasons than those who blew up the Trade Centers. I am PROUD that we got in to WWII, although we didn't get into it to save the Jews from the Holocaust. Bush, and supposedly his advisors, BELIEVED that Hussein was running his own personal Holocaust in Iraq. Hussein DID gas many, many people. He was striving to be as evil as Hitler. People like that MUST be stopped, but in stopping them, we lose many lives. We all have a different opinion of the why's of this war, and different opinions on what to do about it. The BEST thing we can ALL do is to PRAY for our military, and our leaders, VOTE when it is election time (even at the primary's, and within your LOCAL community). Bush is just human, and as humans, we ALL make mistakes. None of US could run the country ANY better, contrary to what we all think. Sorry, Pal, but you couldn't either.
