Do you think that referees have an important part to play in the REMAINDER of the World Cup ? I read it in that famous book "Nostradamus DAVincus Referius Maximus Russellus Croweus" that the referees are out to get any country that has any aspirations of winning the world cup by the use of lots of yelowus and redus cardus. Let's hope referees only... referee in the remaining phase of the W-C'06. Who else is concerned about referees not being fair ?? Did you see that one of the referee who ave so many cards he forgot how many he had given ?? And you all though that the WC was solely about football

These refs seem to 'oversee' their importance in this WC. Following todays' games, their cards galore have gone from worse to.....is there another word after worse? If there is, that is where they are now. :-)

Yes the referees have an important part in the remainder of the World Cup ,, they are suppose to keep the game flowing & calling fouls when they happen ,,, They´ll decide which team will go on & which team goes home ...As usual politics & pride of their country will play a big part just look at what happened to the USA , Holland just to name a couple ..

I heard about that 3 yellow cards to a player. The referees are having a big impact on the matches. I can say at least 2 teams that are in the 2nd round wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the referees.

Every kind of referees, in every kind of sport, always ply an important par in games. Some times good influence, but mostly ranging from so-so to disastrous.

Lol! He forgot how many violations he handed out?! Sometimes referees can be unfair, it's true. Usually not on purpose, but maybe someone paid them.

definitely!!! i know they did at one of our games!!! we lost the finals because of a really bad call!!!
