My partner and i have recently been arguing about buying a car from his boss. When looking at the parkers guide the price that was being charged was not a bargain and it didn't come with car tax. I expected a car of 3 yrs old to come with it and asked my partner to ask.
We argued for a long time deciding that he wasn't going to say anything and i wouldn't have the car.
The next day he told me he'd been sacked over asking for the car tax. He let this go on for my lunch break then text me saying he did ask, he wasn't sacked and that the car tax will be included in the price.
I'm having trouble now with his ethics. Was this just a completely nasty thing to do? Or did i deserve it? I agonised all lunch wondering what we were going to do, feeling guilty. Do you really tell your partner you were sacked just to prove a point ? Or ws he just really over the top with his nastiness?

You have been listening to all these bulldykes and gene pool slurry, but why ask them? Why not start communicating with your man? Most realationshipsbreak up because of lack of communication and lies. Be honest, speak your mind, If he's a good man he will love your honesty, if he's a ****, he will go look for one of thise man haters that have nothing to say but ugly things. Honesty is your future, don't talk to us idiots, talk to the one you love.

Sounds like you are on very different wavelengths.
If he was just joking, you didnt get it, at all, and ended up getting upset, feeling guilty etc.
If he was being nasty then he succeeded because of the way he made you feel, but then I wonder WHY he wanted to be nasty to you?

I think you should just sit him down and tell him how upset he made you, whether it was intended to be a joke, or whether it was intended as some kind of childish reaction for you asking for the tax.
Actually, whatever his motivation, it was pretty childish anyway. How old is he, 16 or something?? Cos if hes not a kid anymore tell him to grow up and treat you right, or you go a find someone else!

A bit over the top...you asked a vallid question....and if it's not a bargain then get a better one elsewhere, why does he want to argue over something so minor? does he want to impress his boss buy paying over the top price fo a car or is the car really that special?

OK, first of all, you are taking this too damn seriously. chill out! relax. and second of all, it was very insensitive of him to make you feel guilty. but you need to realize that guys are like that, we don't think about consequences or anything. we just do what pops into our head first.

Next, you should think about this: you seem to call your partner "nasty" quite a lot. why is that? do you really love him? why are you with him when he is so "nasty"?. i think you should work on your relationship skills a little bit. personally, you sound quite mean and condescending, and i would probably try and make you feel guilty too, just to get you to be nice for a change.

That was over the top for sure and he proved nothing at all except that he is capable of things like this.

It's not beyond forgiving, though long as he realizes what a stupid thing that was to do.

It was just a joke....an unfunny joke, but a joke.

If he'd kept the joke going for days then you would have cause to be upset...but as it is at the moment just forget about it and worry about proper problems in your life......and if this is the biggest problem, then consider yourself very lucky!

Lighten-up!

I think you are the most sensitive, naggy woman in the world. Oooh, I'm sorry did I hurt your feelings? Wouldn't want that now, who knows what you might do.

Good Lord, laugh once in a while, you'll live longer.

No.I think your partner was just saying what he did to get his own way and to quieten you. I think this shows a little bit of disrespect towards you and I myself would feel that this was 'nasty' behaviour on his behalf.

That was too much. How well do you know this guy? His background? You'd better be careful. Can you move out safely or will he go nuts again?
