I just recently watch all six movies by request of my friend (who said that I wasn't a true film student if I didn't watch them). So at the end of Ep 5 when the spirits or whatever they are of obi won, yoda and luke's father appear is that a reference to the Trinity? The father (obi won), the son (anakan (seeing how he consider obi won a father figure), yoda (the holy spirit)

You could see an analogy there. Lucas may have had some idea of such. It is interesting that Hinduism also has a trinity (don't ask who they are, I forgotten), and teh "Force" is similar in some ways to teh Nirvana of the Hindus and Buddhists. Maybe its a homage to that?

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and I'm a Star Wars fan. I am a christian but do not believe in the trinity. The only thing you could possibly get away with saying is that the "force" is like God and the holy spirit.

No, just dumb luck. George Lucas just mistakenly killed off the mentor character in the first film so he created another one for the sequel. His entire plot pretty much developed that way. He's a terrible writer, hehehe. :)

It's George Lucas' idea...
Why don't you ask HIM?
