Try to make do with water and/or juice... and think about whether there is any way to get a little formula (a neighbor you could borrow from or something like that).
If she's on cereal, go ahead and give her that (mixed with water) in the meantime...

No give her water instead and then at 12 get here some formula. If al else fails see if u still have milk in your breast and try that - but regular milk is too heavy for her system until she is around 1 years of age and older when her body has developed and is ready to handle the break down of regular milk completely

I'd say try to get her to eat baby food or cereal with juice or water before giving her regular milk. If that doesn't work I guess you don't have a choice but to try it. I'd give her small amounts maybe diluted w/water to prevent to much stomach upset until you can pick up her formula. In the future, you need to make sure you have plenty of formula on hand so you don't run out. Her sensitive digestive system is not ready for cow's milk yet.

Chances are she'll be OK. My six month has had whole milk before. Not because I gave it to him, but because his older brother requested a glass one day, then *shared* it with him when I had gone to the bathroom. I'd say he probably had about 1/4 cup, if that, and he suffered no ill effects from it. If you want to give your baby something between now and noon, I'd suggest either water or (even though I'm not an advocate of it) some diluted apple/grape/pear juice (if you have any on hand). Is she eating cereal/jarred baby food yet? If so, you could give her her lunch early, and when it's time for her REAL lunch, just give her the bottle she missed...sort of switch things around a little. :)

Please do not give a six month old cow's milk. There is a big risk for an allergic reaction, or the development of an allergy if cow's milk is given before one year. (Same with strawberries, peanuts, etc). Go with the cereals suggestion. Even if you haven't started them yet, now is a good enough time. If you don't have them available, but you do have adult oatmeal, put it in the blender to grind it down a little first, then fix as usual. if you don't have anything your baby can eat, just give water until you are able to obtain age appropriate foods for him/her. Talk to your pediatrician about getting a list of when and how to introduce new foods into your baby's diet. You will save both of ya'll a lot of pain and heartache if you pay attention to how he/she eats.

I would advise against regular milk. Six months is still young to digest cow's milk. I would just give some juice mixed with water and some cereal or plain oatmeal if you have it to hold her over until you can get some more formula. You don't want her to get a tummy ache.

My son is 10 mths old and I give him milk, the doc said it's fine but not a whole lot in a day because it can make them anemic. But I don't think it will do any harm to give her a little milk as long as her formula is milk based. Most formula is unless it is soy.

Be careful with that - your baby will get a stomach ache. I would maybe give them some 1/2 juice-1/2 water and maybe some instant cereal (oatmeal is wonderful!!) until you can get the formula. I would say no to the milk.

If you aren't nursing and she isn't yet on baby foods, and this is her only form of nutrition right now, then you will have to give her the cow's milk. But do not make a habit of it. Her system can't really handle cow's milk yet. If you give it to her now she can form an allergy to it and will be lactose intolerant later in life. Ask a neighbor if they can run to the store for you, or see if they can loan you their car and watch the baby for you. 6 months is too early for cow's milk.

She won't starve before twelve. Although she will be cranky. You are not supposed to give them regular milk until 1 year. If you have to feed your child and don't have money I guess you have to feed them what you've got. As a parent though you should have food on hand in case of emergancy especially for a baby.
