I had a tubal sterilization 12 years ago, my period this month was not normal, Im getting pregnancy symptoms, any body out there that knows someone who's gotten pregnant after a tubal sterilization for 12 years, By the way I had 3 previous pregnancy all healthy and full term, and Im 37 years old. Answer please Help!!!!!!!!

Yes you can be pregnant or by your age early menopause.
Your tubes can grow back especially have it done young.

Yes, it can happen, especially since your tubal was 12 years ago, there's a chance all they did was clip and actually tie the tubes. The knot could have come untied, and the egg can "jump" the opening in the tube. More recently when patients have their tubes tied, they cut a portion of the tube out and cauterize the ends of the remaining tube.
Take a home pregnancy test, or go to your doctor for a blood test. If you are pregnant, it's important to get prenatal care started early on.

my mothers clients sister has recently fallen pregnant after the procdure aswell so it is pobbile!! There is still a chance you may become pregnant after tubal sterilization. About 1 in 200 women become pregnant who have their tubes tied. This may be caused by an incomplete closure of the tubes. If pregnancy occurs after the procedure, you are at increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy.

I just had my tubes tied and ended up pregnant with twins. I know it can happen if your cut tied and burned but it is rare. If you were just tied they say there is a big chance that they will come undone. Also I know of a few friends after being cut, tied and burned that ended up with tubal pregnancies. I would make a appointment with your doctor if you haven't started in the next two weeks better to be safe then sorry.

it is possible, but 80%^ of pregnancies after tubal sterilization are in your tube, so if you think you might be pregnant you should go to the doctor and find out right away becuase you might have a tubural pregnancy, which is dangerious

yes it is very possible, just be careful, beause of scare tissue, you can have a eptopic pregnancy(pregnancy in your tubes) and that's not healthy. i know of some one whose had 4 children after a tubal surgery and her fifth pregnancy was eptopic and she caught it right in the nick of time.

Its possible but very unlikely. buy a dual pack of preg, test. take one this morning, and a week from now, regardless of the results.

if your tubes were just tied there is a one in a million chance you can become pregant you need to see your doctor to confirm pregnacy

I've heard that it can happen, but it's pretty rare. I'd ask the doctor.
