I contradicted a lady on this forum and she wrote me a personal email stating what of importance and social consequence she had done in her life. She even asked me what I had done in my life.

What I have done in my life is really not anyoneelses business, if I did something to benefir the society, I did not do so to be able to brag and get in people's face later -for the rest of my life. Jesus said if your right hand donates, your left hand should not know about it. (Impressive huh? and I am not even Christian!)

SO Does doing something nice and getting into people's face with it for the rest of your life with it good or bad?

No it sure doesn't. if your doing something good in life, that's great. No one is any better than the next. No one has the right to get in someones face, we are all in titled to have our own opinions. if people have to brag about something they did, then it didn't come from their heart.

No it does not - because doing good and moral things in life is what everyone should do - it should be a norm. When you tell people what you have done it turns it from being a selfish, good humanitarian into someone that feel they are self-righteous and the deed becomes something you did to show-off and is no longer a good deed just a selfish act to be seen. No one has the right to get into any ones face. The things you do and do not speak about are the ones that are the most rewarding.

Having done something important is totally irrelevant and does not give anyone the right to get in people's faces!

I don't believe it does. What an important accomplishment can do is allow you to give advice (if asked or if you feel like offering) but saying you're better than someone because you have accomplishments is vain and rude. Fine line between believing in yourself and believing yourself to be all that!!!

shes soooo haughty and think that just because she has done so much that society is supposed to pay her back or praise her! shes selfish...you shouldnt do all that just so you can throw it in someones face....WHAT SHE IS DOING IS BAD...it just cancels out all her accomplishments....
