There are two ways of correcting this sentence. First, you could remove the dash and make two sentences from the one you have. Second, you could change the dash into an "and".

You need to change the dash to a period and capitalize my since it will now be starting a sentence.

there shud be a full stop instead of a dash or u can also try putting the last part in brackets () it depends on the style(informal or formal)
