why shouldn't American's be proud right now?

Because, we're falling apart! If we could only help our own people & keep our noses out of other countries bussiness. First we go in and cause problems, and then we have to go back and fix them! which usually makes them worse. If more people would get involved here & know whats really going on, we could be better examples.
I'm glad to be American, but, I'm truly disappointed in our people, stand up for yourselves & do something, look at our economy, look at our educational system, look at the poverty & hunger, yes hunger, the rate of malnutrition in Americas children is rising daily. More people complain about flag burning, religion in schools, having the nativity in their town, then the well-being of our people. GET A GRIP PEOPLE, lets make something to be proud of.
We are truly blessed, but, driving a luxury car, living in a house thats better then your nieghbors, being seen in the right places, by the right people, wearing the latest styles, is that all we're about?
It's not so hard, let's start with our own families, talk to each other, it will have a snowball effect, do somethig unselfish, pass it on. Then, maybe we will give everyone something to be proud of.

One, our economy has gone done the shithole, watch the stock market for the next week and watch whatever money youve put in it basically die.
Two, im not saying i dont support the troops, but its ridiculous when we dont leave Iraq even when we've "Accomplished Our Mission". BTW, who hears much about Afghanistan?
Three, What do americans do in general that we should be proud of?
Invade Countries, make crappy cars, or our media?
I have a friend in the Marines, one in the Navy.

I completely agree. WE have a lot to be proud of---OUR SOLDIERS- a wonderful COUNTRY- FREEDOM to speak our mind. And the knowledge that we are helping another country get back on the right track.GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

this is a free country, a lot of people have fought and lost their lives or a loved one. we should all be very proud.

who said we arnt ? i wonder why everyone hates america ? is it because there jealouse of our economey ? or that we have more rights then other countries. or is that they are intimidated by our great army ? just because we are the most powerfull country doesnt mean you should hate
