Hello..Io personalmente amo populo Italiano e Italia!! Sto dimenticando la vostra bella lingua, per questo uso l'Inglese. I will be utmostly honest of course. I think that Italian people in general are very open and friendly, with big heart and full of passion. The men are(don't want to offense them at all) a little stinky and repeat again and again:"Bella, bellissima,ti amo etc." I love Italaian cuisine, melanzane grillate,parmiggiano,prosciutto..Love your Pasta and with all it's condiments it's likely after some period in Italy to be on diet.I have the vantage point because I was in Italy at about a year ago..Even I have the intentions to come to Italy for the summer..Would you like to contact me,maybe to chit-chat for a while..Un abbracio forte!!

Oh wow, I love this question. My great grandparents were from Italy. I love the Italians. I used to live there 13 years ago for an entire year in Florence. I just went back there for 2 weeks and I would have stayed if it wasn't for my husband. Italians know how to take life easy and to me, working and making a lot of money isn't the first thing on their minds like many Americans. I like the fact that most working Italians have 2 hours for lunch and have about 2 months off during the summer.
Florence, Rome and Venice are very busy, but to me the architecture, buildings, and history is amazing. The country side is beautiful, and the food is much better there than here.
Do you speak the language? I'm always looking for friends to speak to in Italian.

I only experienced Rome. Most of the people we encountered were mean to us and it was very hard to trust anyone. We got screwed by someone at the train station, hotel, cab driver, store clerks, asking people for directions, etc.
We had a cab driver take us to our hotel and he said he knew the way. He dropped us off TWO MILES from the hotel and made us pay the fare.
I personally don't know anyone from Italy, but I'm sure that there are very nice honest Italians out there.

Well, I'm American-Italian (my grandparents were from the Molise region), and Italy is on my "places to visit" list for next year. I think Italians are passionate, proud, stubborn, expressive, loving, and appreciative of beauty and history--some of my best and worst characteristics are inherited from my Italian family! And I love learning the language, too.

I was in Rome in March, loved the place, did not think the people were particularly friendly though, a lot of very rude waiters, but amazingly friendly taxi drivers. However, it mustn't have been too bad as I am now planning further visits to Italy, & will hopefully go to Pisa & Le Marche before the end of the year.

Bellissssssssssimo!!!!!!
I am half Italian and so biased. But to me Italy is beautiful and the Italian people are beautiful.
The country is beautiful......the food is divine.....the music is divine........the football is fantastico........
Anyone who criticises Italy or Italians is just very JEALOUS!!!!

I've never been to Italy, my image of Italy is all wrapped up with that film Roman Holiday, starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Scooters, ice-cream, historic sites and fun.
