This is probably a stupid question but I've never burned a CD before. Is it possible to come back later and burn more songs onto it?

Not if its a CD-R. If its a CD-RW, you should be able to add songs, provided there's room.

I use rewritable cds. You can burn, then burn again, depending on the quality you can get like 3 more times of use. If you have Nero burning rom, the have an option where you can add songs to the file you burnt, but only add to the file, a cd that's already burnt cannot be opened again.

Actually there are two types of CDs,
1) which can be re-writable
2)those which can't be used to write again.

so it depends which CD u r using..if u r using re-writable CD only then u can come back later and more songs otherwise once done is done for ever

With a CD-R...No. Once you write anything to it, you cannot come back later.

With a CD-RW...You can come back and burn songs, but every time you want to come back, you first have to erase the entire CD and then burn.

I don't know of any CD's that can do this, but I know that DVD-RAM has this feature. You would have to have a DVD burner that is compatible with this format.

Hope this helps.

not if u already burned it u can't add more songs to it not unless u have a rewritable cd rom and you format the disk and start over that is the only way to get more songs on a disk

It depends on what kind of disc it is and if you left it open. A lot of programs at the end of a burn session, they ask if you want to leave it an open disc which basically means do you want to be able to go back and either write over it or add more...

If the CD-R is not full you can burn more things into it. But you cannot delete what are already inside.

If it's an MP3 CD you can. Just select the option to not close out the CD.

No once you stop burning it is close try using music match jukebox and getting all of your burns together at once before you waste any cds.

ONLY if it's a CD-RW. Those are more expensive than CD-Rs, but you can add more songs to them. I usually just use CD-Rs because they're much cheaper, especially when you buy them in bulk.
