I like both, but Metallica's been around longer.

How can you even put those 2 up for comparison?
Metallica is FAR BETTER than Linkin Park with no if's and's or but's about it, they have always rocked and will continue to. I personally don't see Linkin Park making a legend out of them selves like the all great Metallica!

I like both but Metallica our rock legends I mean come on Linkin Park needs to improve.

Metallica is versatile. They changed with the times. Linkin Park is good but they have to prove there longevity. I say Metallica.

oh, please. St. Anger SUCKED! in a grudge match, Linkin Park would totally whomp on those guys. Their sound is unique (after a fashion), and really emotional. of course, it is kind of hard to top "anywhere I roam" and "master of puppets"... but really, "crawling" has got to be the most hard core song about barely controlled rage ever. My current favorite is "Don't stay". whoever does the scratching for linkin park did a fabulous job. and their melody as well as lyrics fascinate me.
besides, Metallica had a good run... but they've just worn themselves out. go back to their classic style, and they've got a good thing going, but Linkin Park kicks the proverbial a**.

I like Linking Park, but when comparing them to the likes of Metallica... there is no comparison.
