Sitting at home .. my wife woke me when the first tower was burning and I sleepily watched as the second tower was hit. Of all of the things that I remember about that terrible day I think it is the crystal blue skies that haunt me the most. I remember it now whenever there is a beautiful day. That, to me, was my greatest personal loss from that day. In the past I would look up at a clear blue sky and feel energized and happy .. now it always tends to just give me a knot in my stomach.

I was on my way to work, driving in my car with my husband. We had not turned on the TV that morning, so had no idea what was going on.

I am an administrator at a school and spent the rest of the day listening to the radio for updates and then sharing them with all the teaching staff.

I then went home and cried.

I was pulling into the parking lot at work, when I heard the news on the radio. I had just started this job two days earlier, and everyone there spent that day sitting around the tv in the break room. No work got done that day.

I was at work. a customer walked up to the counter where I was working and commented about it and I was completely dumbfounded. I rushed upstairs to the breakroom the first chance I could get and just stared at the television with my mouth wide open.

I was in my living room watching it all unfold on the tv. I called my husband and told him that we were under attack, and I sat in front of Fox News for 6 1/2 hours. i watched my son drive around in his little buggy in the room, and I woke up that night crying.
