uncertain future means 50 % good, 50 % bad.
So yea good lasting memomry is better, unless you're the exciting kind a person who is not afraid to take chances

Fond memories are great. However they fade, they grow dim and do little with the future. Everyone's future is uncertain. While there are things that you can not control. You can put yourself in the best position possible and see what happens.
Uncertainty is exciting and thrilling, even simple stuff. When I was single each time I met a girl I was attracted to it was exciting before, I knew if she would go out. It was exciting waiting for a second date and so on. Most of these relationships ended in failure. So that sucks, but the one time it did work I met the girl of my dreams got married. I love looking back at all the good times I had. I am eager to learn what comes next

The future by definition is uncertain. Outside of religion, no one really knows what is going to happen. It is all in the mind...you can either look forward to the future or dread it. But then why live in the past when the best could be yet to come.
As a Christian I have great hope for the future no matter what this life brings! Praise God!
