As long as he is not neglecting his responbilities, he's being a typical man.

Do you mean participating in sports? Watching televised sports all weekend? Watching the game with buddies once a week?

Maybe you should become equally involved in something outside the marriage, some club or hobby. Demand that he take his turns at child care so that you too can get out of the house and pursue some interest. There IS such a thing as too much togetherness, as having too FEW outside interests.

As long he isn't using sports to avoid family responsibilities, as long as it isn't interfering with his paying reasonable attentions to YOU, then you should be happy that he's taking his pleasures in this wholesome way instead of gambling, whoring, drunkenness, etc. Watch a game with him now and then to show your support, and otherwise leave it alone.

If he IS using as sports to avoid family life or marital involvement, then both of you have a problem. Call your church, United Way, and other groups to find a counselor that charges according to your ability to pay. Men have a way of accepting ideas from a professional counselor that they would reject coming from their own wife or family.

Lets see... Try this.... Put on a sensual teddy or lengerie set, grab him a drink, his favorite fruit drizzled with chocolate, and then walk in between him and the tv.... Sports won't seem very important to him for many hours..... Oh btw.... for your facial expression.... you should have a take me now look.... He will be all over you and not think twice.... Let us know how it goes.... Or put on a robe and nothing else and grab a digital camera then walk between him and the tv and tell him you need a photographer to take the pictures you would like to have taken of you for him.... still with the same expression on your face as stated above.... Oh he will be hooked on you for hours either way.

That's because you are married to a man. They're not ALL that way, but a majority of them is. I'm sure there is a biological explanation, something about them being hunters and competitors to be the strongest man in the clan or something, but it's all kind of silly, isn't it..

To all the other "answerers" get over your hatred of men! Now on to the answer. I agree that it is what we yearn for but you have to sit his but down and tell him that you need your time and his attention. We are smart creatures but we kinda have a one way track mind. Thats why we need you. You guys steer us in the right direction and we pull ypu through the storm.

I had this problem. If I do not feel like I am first, which is where he is in my life, I will leave...no two ways about it.

That crap doesn't change, but you can, either leave him, or go out and make your own life and see how he likes your new found "hobbies."
