okay, just wondering...how many of you did NOT have a big, wonderful, glamourous "sweet sixteen?"

today is my 16th birthday, and i'm not doing anything. just seeing a few people & then going out to dinner & then packing because i leave town tomorrow. haha. i don't have anything planned or anything.

curious, because all of my friends are freaking out that i'm not having a big party. (they should be glad i've stopped mooching gifts off them...lol) maybe i'm lazy. or i hate planning parties. or both. well, yea. guess that's it. =D

(i can drive!!!!!!)

Happy birthday! :)

I didn't have a big birthday bash (I'm a girl). First of all it was a weekday and I was very tired that week. I just went out and had dinner with a couple of friends. Personally I just don't see the need of having big parties, regardless of whether it's "tradition" or not. It takes so much planning and preparation to throw a big party (I know this from experience; some of my friends were like, "Omg! I'm 16! YAY! I'm gonna rent out a resort!") and what makes it any more special than a small celebration? I had just as much fun on my 16th birthday simply because I was with my friends.

Happy Birthday!
Im going to be sixteen in 3 weeks. I guess you can say I'm having a big party. This is usually just a chick thing though. Which kind of sucks if your a guy, but i guess that doesn't have to stop you from having a party. =D Well, you sound like your gonna have fun anyway. I'm most excited about getting my permit!
I can't wait till i can drive!

"Glamourous" requies a universal definition, and unfortunately its meaning is subject to change minute by minute. Male or female, your sixteenth birthday is a date to remember. I would stay low-key and keep it simple, memorable, and important to your own desires for the special day. Spend some one on one time with a friend or other important person, and be keen on remembering this day. Losing your virginity at sixteen is a given thing to do, and so is getting drunk with a best friend and staying up all night, goofing around, and talking about life and the future. Whatever you decide to do, do what is comfortable for you and be safe. Happy B-Day!

Happy Birthday!! The 16th birthday bash is usually a chick thing (sweet sixteen). However, you should celebrate in some way. It's your day and it only happens once a year...take advantage of that.

I had a sweet sixteen. That's the first time I got kissed. Anyway, I think you should have a party... and that's great for a farewell party! Try it!

OK yes, so what was the question? To me, I hate birsthdays because I'm 1 year closer to death, and that birthday presents make a junk in my room.
