i never could understand that. thats an odd number. why not 5 minutes? wouldnt that make more sence? in 9 minutes im back into a deep sleep again and then it goes off again.

the default is 9 mins and you can change it to less or more. And while you say you fall back to sound sleep by then the majority of people find they do in 10 mins or more hence the reason for the default time.

My cell phone is 8 min. and my home alarm clock is ten. Don't know what makes those numbers so special but they work for me.
