Think of the millions we could have saved from the scourge of Communism if we had shown more resolve, rather than listen to the liberals "moral equivalency" babble.
Imagine the untold numbers of Africans who died because it was politically incorrect to take the stern measures necessary to keep them from committing genocide against one another.
Here is something I will never understand: the Tom Cruise character in "A Few Good Men" is supposed to be the shining hero, but he is exposed as a lightweight, hypocritical fraud by Colonel Jessep, who, despite his dark side, makes the most compelling defense of the military ever recorded on film.
"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom.
You weep for Santiago, and you curse the marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."
Heck, after that speech, I think a lot of people wanted to slap the smug, self-righteous Tom Cruise character across his smirking mouth, and nominate Col. Jessep for Secretary of State.

It sounds like you are trying to be smart and pose as a "liberal", but you are making yourself look stupid. "Liberal" is not a cuss word. It simply means that you are open with your judgment and choices, where conservative is a more status quo or traditional stance. We, as humans, should follow both. Fact is, you have a liberal view on technology, as you are here typing this out. If you were a true "conservative" you would find your answer in a book or your local official.
Be smart: don't let others tell you what to think or form an opinion based on a word. Take the time to look at things from both sides and not just what the TV tells you to think. Be smarter than that.

You must not be liberal, or maybe you are just deluded into thinking you are... but you're not. If you don't understand what's going on then by all means stay home, but don't expect those of us with enough brains to understand that our current government is raking in millions for halliburton et al to sit home and let men women and children be slaughtered in Hadithya, or watch the worlds largest rain forest (temperate rain forest in the pacific northwest) be clear cut for the profit of others, to sit home and do nothing. Again, if you don't really understand what's going on, please by all means, stay home and keep your mouth shut because you are only exposing your own ignorance.

I'm not sure I'm aware of the situation you are speaking of. You talk about liberals using the word "we". If you are also liberal, why are you bashing the rest of us?
People die. Why are Americans supposed to be babysitting the rest of the world? We made our country what it is today, and if other countries are less developed or run by tyrannical leaders, what are we supposed to do? March in there gallantly and bomb the s*** out of them? If we stopped trying so hard to fix everyone else's supposed problems, we would have more time and money to focus our efforts internally.

Bravo .. my major issue, these days, with liberalism in general is that it seems to actually revel in and enjoy the horrors caused by the conservatives. It almost seems as if things going bad makes them happy.
It is why I stayed away from the polls last election .. while I cannot support the conservative side I dang sure do not want to be lumped in with the silliness that has become "liberalism"

I like that. For some odd reason, that statement makes sense to me. By the way, I am a middle of the road conservative...whatever that is. (Maybe its just that I think most liberals are out of their minds)

I'm an independant. I vote for the person, not the party. I do think that the extreme left and right are dangerous fringes in our society and should be held accountable for their actions. It'll never happen, though.
