I know a couple who are happily married and are 9 years apart.

2 of my cousins married men 18 years older than them, 1 husband passed away at 57 due to lung cancer, but my other cousin has been happily married for over 12 years now. it must run in the family, older men. wink wink, nudge nudge. x

I would say 13 years old. A little too much but i've seen that it worked.

I personally think the perfect gap is 7 years. Because and its so true what they say, girls mature faster than boys. When a man is 7 years older than a woman, then he's in a good position to protect her, and be wise and mature enough to make the right decisions and be able to provide and raise a family.

On the other hand, 22 years gap doesn't sound so bad, if its between specific 2 people i'm thinking of. lol

The largest gap I know of is 19 years. It was my ex-sister-in-law, she has been remarried to himf or 15 years now, have a son of thier own and are very happy.
