There was no philosophy at this time, so he couldn't have any thoughts about it. If what he was doing can be of any importance to your question than he was teacher (called himself a transmitter), presenting ideas about training political leaders, creating (rather than transmitting!) set of ethical ideas oriented toward practice. I guess he wouldn't really like our philosophical tradition because of its "over-theorized" approach: praxis and the good life was his main focus.

Hmmm? Black heart? That's a strong way to put your mine set on..Confucius" Philosophy"?
The mine set of LIFE" "THE" SELF" to portray anything other than whats been shown to you in love, or tragedy. To look upon others as you would yourself. In dealing with your own Ideas. To get real clues on what someone else does,or did at that time,is?????The only truth is what you perceive.is Truth. For me I'm lost in the jungle as well as everyone else..So your definition is yours,as well as mine or someone else.Try to find love in your heart and peace in your soul...

i like that its very smart. I dislike that its very formulaic. benefit: its uncomplicated to stick to its logic/ rhetoric. turn away: no longer stable for arising unique thought - it could turn you right into a snivelling chanter.
