You disabled everything. You are only supposed to disable items that you do not need for normal functioning of the system. You aren't supposed to disable services, you need most of those. Only disable startup items that you do not need. Go back into msconfig, re-enable everything and then look up your startup items on a search engine. Disable non-critical items only.

enable all then try these 2 programs 1 will check your startup applications* Scans all programs that are in the Windows Startup Folder, Registry and provide you with a background information of the program.
* Remove harmful programs like spyware, virus, diallers, make your system healthier.
* Remove unnecessary programs like reminders, monitors, improve your system performance.

The other program will do following: is a small monitoring program, it keep a constant eye on your system's startup entries. When ever a change is made, you will be notified and given a choice to either allow the change or not to change.

what you should of done is number one thing. Is only shut one off at a time and to see what the one is cause more troubles then the other. If the first one was not the trouble turn it back on and then go down the list for the next one..and if it was not that..then keep repeating all the above until you find the one that is causeing you the troubles. To shut them all off is a no no..cause you do more harm then good with out knowing what is going on. If that happens then your stuck taking it to a computer shop to fix what you did and it can be costly.

some of programs like java, no need to uncheck, just revise your msconfig start up programs, just uncheck programs you don't trust.
