24 give or take a couple. You have to remember that you have to count both sides of your rib cage.

there are 12 pairs ribs and 1 sternum which makes 25 bones

I'm not exactly sure but I know that guys have one less rib than girls.
I think theres twelve. (the front and back ones are connected)
if they were not connected there would be 24.
