Take an art class, learn a new language, learn to cook, read the classics, join a volunteer group, join a book club or movie club, make jewelry, answer Yahoo questions.

I took up crocheting this winter. Its a hot new trend. Its fun and you get to make some really cool things. I would recommend getting a good starter intro. to crocheting book.
I also started to quill. It's twisting paper to make designs. I find that relaxing and fun. http//www.quilling.com
Both of this activities are easy to learn. I teach girls in a residential program and they love learning new crafts. These are some of their favorites too.

Juli why don't you try to do something you don't like, something realllllllly difficult , like learning another language for example , a HARD one , I attend a french class once, it was really hard .. yet I learned allot about their traditions that we don't have in my country .. even in my area .
or do anything that is unusual ,try to count the number of cars that crosses the street where you live at10pm EVERY DAY..or
take a tango lesson , learn cooking , study the language body and try to observe people attitudes( this is really funny)

hmmmmm.... personally i would reccomend art? Maybe, depending what you're into.... comic collecting?? I don't know....... I'm bored as well right now. But I guess thats what I would reccomend.. maybe origami?? You coul'd also read.

learn to do a craft like knitting crocheting or tatting. Then you could make pretty things.....
Scrapbook, that's what I like to do.
I also like to grow flowers.
