First you must find the slope of the line with the points (6,3) and (7,7). Slope equals Y1-Y2 / X1-X2. So that equation with the numbers substituted is Slope equals 3-7 Divided by 6-7 or -4/-1 or 4. That is a slope of four.
A perpendicular line's slope is the opposite reciprocal or -1/4.

What is the slope of the line that passes through these points?
(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = (7 - 3) / (7 - 6) = 4 / 1 = 4
A perpendicular line has a slope that is the negative reciprocal of the original line - in this case, the slope of the perpendicular line is -1/4

If you want to find the slope you always use the same formula: y2-y1 / x2-x1. If your point are (6,3) and (7,7) the x1 will be the 6, y1 will be the 3 and the y1 and y2 will be the 7. No you will substitute the values in the formula and resolved like this: 7-3 / 7-6 = 4/1 = 4. And the result is 4.

Let's look at the slope of the line through those points first:
the change in y i 4 and the change in x is 1
So the slope is the quotient of 4 and 1, or 4.
To find the perpendicular slope, we take the negative reciprocal:
-1/4.

If the line is perpendicular then you have a 90 degree angle for a start. Do you have the lengths of any of the lines? This sounds more like a trigonomic problem to me as you are asking for the slope. This would mean the angle it rises at. Try looking at the relationship of tan, cos and sin. or -tan, -cos, -sin whichever is appropriate. Good luck

slope of this line is
(7-3)/(7-6)=4
Now the product of slopes of 2 perpendicular line is -1
so let the required slope be x
so,
x*4=-1
x= -1/4
So the required answer is
-1/4

(6,3) and (7,7)
m = (7 - 3)/(7 - 6)
m = 4/1
m = 4
The slope of the line perpendicular to the line that runs through (6,3) and (7,7) is (-1/4)

(x1, y1) = (6, 3)
(x2, y2) = (7, 7)
slope = rise / run
i.e. (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
--> (7 - 3) / (7 - 6)
-->4
slope of a perpendicular line is
---> (-1) / (m2)
---> 4 = (-1)/ (m2)
---> m2 = -1/4
therefore the slope of the line is
( -1/4 )

P1(6,3) P2(7,7)
slope = (change in y)/(change in x)
= (Y2 - Y1)/(X2 - X1)
= (7-3)/(7-6)
slope = 4
